STAKE YOUNG MEN CAMP

Set against the rugged beauty of Buffalo Gap Resort in West Virginia, this Young Men’s camp for the Martinsburg Stake is designed to challenge both body and spirit. Using the natural terrain steep climbs, wooded trails and open fields the young men will push themselves beyond comfort zones to discover strength, resilience, and faith.

Throughout the week, young men will take part in physically and mentally demanding challenges. These activities will focus on teamwork, leadership, perseverance, and accountability. Young men will carry weight together, solve problems under pressure, and learn to rely on one another mirroring the strength found in unity and brotherhood.

Chris Vincent

Chris is excited to be our Young Men's Camp Director this year.  He looks back on his Scouting and youth experience with gratitude for the lessons and skills he was taught.  Chris loves putting those skills to work in the outdoors, and looks forward to sharing many of those skills with the young men.  He enjoys rucking (walking/hiking with extra weight in a backpack), and is planning a camp experience that will help the young men grow both physically and spiritually.

Challenges will be paired with meaningful spiritual lessons. As endurance and determination are tested, devotionals and discussions will connect physical effort with gospel principles such as faith, obedience, service, and enduring to the end.  As we press forward during camp, we will learn how to press forward in life with purpose and testimony.

This camp is more than an outdoor adventure, it is an opportunity to build confident young men who are physically capable, mentally tough, spiritually grounded, and prepared to lead and serve others. Through sweat, struggle, laughter, and reflection, participants will leave Buffalo Gap stronger in body, stronger in faith, and stronger in their commitment to live the values they believe in.
