Stake Young Women Camp Director

Sister Emily Horrocks

Hello! I’m Sister Horrocks from the Harpers Ferry Ward. I live just outside Shepherdstown with my husband of nearly 20 years, our two wonderful boys, and our two beloved dogs. Over the years, I’ve served in Young Women in a variety of callings, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to now serve as Stake YW Camp Director.

While I can’t claim a passion for camping, hiking, or all things outdoors, I can wholeheartedly testify of the spiritual power of YW Camp. I’ll never forget the first time I stepped onto the grounds of Camp Liahona and immediately felt its special spirit. To step away from the busyness, distractions, and negative influences of the world and enter a place dedicated to drawing closer to my Heavenly Parents is a profound blessing.

My hope is that every young woman will experience this for herself—that she will feel the Spirit, know she is a beloved daughter of Heavenly Parents, and carry that truth with her always.

Sister Amy Hall

Hey there! I’m Amy Hall, assistant camp director for 2026 YW camp. I reside in Shepherdstown, WV, with my husband, Jason, and two (adorable) dogs, Jax and Bear. I have two “adult” children, Lindsey, 23, and Walker, 21, who are out on their own doing amazing things! A little about me - I love all things nature; it is such a beautiful blessing. I feel closest

to my Heavenly Father there. I love hiking, camping, and travelling. I am an avid pickleball and tennis player. I’m a big fan of competition and movement. I enjoy baking, cooking, and eating- hence the need for lots of movement. I hope you are looking forward to camp as much as I am! It can be a little uncomfortable, but I know that “there is no comfort in growth and no growth in comfort”. I’m excited to get to know each of you as we learn and grow together!

Sister Emilee Bell

Hello! I'm Sister Bell and I'm as excited to meet you all as I am for Young Women Camp. My husband and I live in Shepherdstown with our cat Huey Lewis and attend the Harpers Ferry ward. Being outside in the woods and mountains is one of my favorite things, whether it hiking or kayaking or cross country skiing, or just being still. I love reading, baking, playing music, and I am learning to quilt--I realize these are all things my grandma likes to do but she's a happy woman so what can I say? I think YW camp is a powerful opportunity for us to disconnect with the opinions of everyone else and reconnect with our Savior and ourselves, and rediscover we think of ourselves and what He thinks of us. (Spoiler: He thinks we are great and loves us, but me telling you is not the same as you feeling it!)
